Relaxed, well-integrated, ripe nose. Sweet, purple fruits and quite a bit of both acid and tannin but just the right side of rasping. A success on a bourgeois scale. Lovely fresh confidence. GC ? Drink 2023-2033

The 2016 Sénéjac is exquisite. Sweet tobacco, mint, grilled herbs and dark red fruit give the 2016 is a striking interplay of aromatic intensity and palate presence. Powerful and deep, the 2016 offers notable depth yet also remains quite finessed for the year. layers of fruit build into a long finishlaced with expressive savory and earth-driven tones. From the Bignon-Cordier family, this is a sleek, sexy Medoc with good chewy tannins and a lovely rich texture to the blackberry fruit. It has a serious edge, showing some menthol notes on the finish and a feeling of freshness that accompagnies the entire experience beginning to end. good persistency. A successful vitage here. The 2016 Sénéjac has an attractive bouquet with floral-tinged red and black fruit - strawberry pastilles and just a touch of bay leaf, nicely defined and gaining intensity with aeration. The palate is very well balanced with the tannin, well-judged acidity, very harmonious with assiduous use of new oak. This is a very stylish Haut Médoc, one of the best that I have tasted in many years. THis comes highly recommended.

Firm, yet ripe, with a fine tannic grain. Although not saying much aromatically, one could sense something "serious" to the barrel sample. Give it time, as barrel aging should the tannin, and this should be quite a nice wine for the price.

The World of Fine Wine juin-17 90-91 0/100 Ripe and mineral to smell ; rich fresh, lightly tannic ; sweet, pure, long and juicy to taste, gently gravel imbued, with pelnty of matter, fleshy in texture, and really classy for the cru ; effortless, seductive and with lovely fragrant length, too. A great Sénéjac. The best in a very fine trio : 2014, 2015, 2016. Drink 2022-2036
